We love receiving letters in the post here at Star Dreme. Something special about knowing someone has taken the time to buy beautiful stationery, write some lovely words and go to the post box. It’s a lovely ritual and tradition we are on a mission to revive. It brings joy. We are in the business of joy.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to post something about us as we lean into the new year. As a family, 2025 has been a difficult one with many difficulties to navigate. I am happy for it to be in the rear view mirror in a few hours. Due to all of this, Star Dreme has been very stop, start, stop, start. Getting everything together to properly launch has just not happened. I have put up a new banner here with some of the things coming. But there is going to be much, much more, including as a start:

- a new range of stunning and shiny colourful letterpress wedding invitations, along with classics
- going back to old times with beautiful personal stationery
- letter pressed gifts, like the "it's simple I love you" above on the banner. Bringing colour and shine and sparkle to beautiful sayings.
- later in the year, calligraphy gifts
- luxurious business stationery to make you stand out
- a wedding podcast that will also have tips about how to navigate all the stress and pressure of arranging your wedding. It is so hard to find the right way to say no, isn't it?
- a blog about all things letterpress, along with advice, guidance and ideas for your wedding or big event or party.

We are going to endeavour to get the website up with a holding page over the coming weekend so you can sign up to the mailing list to be the first to hear about launches of products. I will post when its live here.

If you are planning a wedding for next year then you are probably into what the Pantone colour for 2026 is. If you have never heard of Pantone colours then I think of Pantone as the language of colour. It is a standardised classification of just about every colour, in simple terms. Every year Pantone have a different year colour. This year it’s “cloud dancer”. An interesting choice. In the colour world there is some controversy over this choice! The Pantone year colour has a huge influence on many industries using colour including the wedding world. I have taken a screenshot from the Pantone website above linked and credited below. What I like is the palette of colours that go with it. Imagine bridesmaid dresses, men’s ties, flowers and of course your wedding invitations. We are currently working on some wedding invitation designs using this beautiful colour palette so you are bang on trend if your wedding is in 2026. We were having a think about Christmas tables. Exchanging stories about family Christmas’s gone by. Stories of sweet moments and squabbles. You know how it goes.

We wanted to create something for the Christmas tables and here it is!

Made using one of our lovely cotton papers. It’s 100% cotton paper, soft and elegant. We thought being able to personalise it for you with your menu and the guest name down the side made it multi purpose.

We are biased but we think your guest will want to take it home as a keepsake!

We had to add a bit of bling and so it is finished off with a lovely glittery finish. Christmas is all about the bling after all!

As a letterpress printer we are working with traditional presses that have been around a very long time.

Letterpress printing originated in the 1400s! I still can't believe that! It started to decline around the 1960s and now is a very specialist printing process that not many of us do.

It is traditional to name machines, we are more familiar with old cars having names. Have you ever seen the old movie Genevieve? That is the name of the car that is in the veteran car race back in 1953. As you can tell, we like old things!

Geek attack over, here are our names for our lovely ladies. We will be adding to our ladies next year.

The ladies we have will cope fine with some beautiful wedding invitations that we will be launching in February.

We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Star Dreme letterpress studio. We have really enjoyed creating our first collection that you can find a link to in our bio above. There is so much more to come that we can’t wait to share with you. For now we raise a celebratory glass to this new beginning.
