1977 ROLEX SEA-DWELLER 1665 “DOUBLE RED”‼️

A particularly special Double Red Sea-Dweller in great condition, originality and a fantastic history.

Manufactured in 1976, this example retained its immaculate Mk4 dial and exceptionally sharp case, with crisp, well-defined lugs. Having received just one polish in its lifetime, it had been left completely untouched since arriving with us, preserving its original condition.

The details continued on the reverse, with the original caseback carrying a London Rolex service mark from 1996, documenting the watch’s first polish. The original bracelet is stamped 1976, just as you would expect from an example of this period.

What made this watch even more interesting was its previous owner. Originally purchased brand new in Birkenhead, Wirral, in 1977, it belonged to a very famous British singer.

Nearly five decades later, it remained accompanied by an impressive collection of original accessories.

For us, this is what makes collecting vintage Rolex so rewarding. It’s not simply about finding a good watch, but finding examples that have survived in remarkable condition, retained their original components and carry a genuine story of their own.

A fantastic Double Red Sea-Dweller that was a pleasure to have in our collection.

NEW ARRIVAL | 1969 ROLEX GMT-MASTER 1675 🇫🇰

Originally sold in the Falkland Islands in 1971, this is a GMT-Master with a story that makes it all the more special.

Manufactured in 1969, this 1675 has survived nearly six decades in remarkable condition, retaining an exceptional degree of originality alongside a lovely complete set.

The details are what make this one stand out.

The original Mk1 Long E dial remains in superb condition, paired with a beautifully preserved red-back Pepsi bezel insert. And yes, remarkably, this is the original insert. The colour, the condition and the overall preservation are quite something for a piece of this age.

The case remains exceptionally sharp, and the watch retains its original Rolex bracelet, dated 3/69. A later bracelet is also included for those who prefer a different fit for everyday wear.

But it’s the provenance and accompanying accessories that really set this example apart.

The original 1971 Falkland Islands sale is documented in its double-punched Rolex papers, showing both the serial and model numbers. The set is completed by the original Sea Horse box, Bureaux Suisses Chronometres certificate, GMT-Master booklet, translation booklet and Rolex leather wallet.

A superb example of the GMT-Master from an era when these watches were built to be worn, travelled with and passed through generations.

Available now for £17,995.
