✨ MILLIONS OF YEARS IN THE MAKING… AND NOW CAPTURED FOR A LIFETIME ✨

This incredible black opal, set in beautiful rose gold, was made for a fabulous client of mine. 💗

Opal begins its story millions of years ago, when silica-rich water slowly travelled through cracks and spaces in the earth. As the water disappeared, microscopic silica particles were left behind and, over an enormous length of time, formed the opal we see today. 🌈

That extraordinary arrangement of silica is what creates those flashes of red, green, orange and gold as the light moves across the stone. Nature certainly wasn’t in a hurry with this one! 😍

After millions of years forming underground, this beautiful opal has now been set in rose gold and captured forever - ready to be treasured for a lifetime. ❤️

We have a fantastic range of opals available and can make them into rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets and more, in your choice of precious metal.

Every opal is completely unique - there will never be another one exactly the same. 💎✨

✨ Fancy wearing a piece of ancient history? ✨

Today I’m cutting up something rather special - an opalised belemnite. 🦑💎
Yep… an ancient sea creature that has spent millions of years turning itself into opal. Bit dramatic, but I’ll allow it. 😂

From this piece I’ll be cutting individual opals ready to become beautiful handmade jewellery.

💍 Sterling silver rings
✨ Pendants
👂 Potentially earrings
💎 Plain and simple, or add extra gemstones
🤍 Sterling silver will be the main option to keep the price lovely - but if you fancy gold or platinum, I can absolutely do that too.

Basically, you choose the opal and we can make something completely your own from it.

And I rather LOVE the idea that this isn’t just jewellery - it’s a genuine little piece of ancient history that you can actually wear. 🥰

🎥 I’ll be putting a video up later showing me cutting it, so keep your eyes peeled.
