Hello, I’m Claire, and this is Hester 🧡

I’m the maker behind North Sky Jewellery, creating handmade silver jewellery inspired by the coast, woodland and ever changing skies.

When I’m not at my workbench, you will usually find me out exploring with Hester, searching for inspiration along woodland paths and coastal trails or curled up with a hot chocolate and a good fantasy book.

Each piece of my jewellery is handmade slowly with intention, taking shape from leaves and textures, changing seasons and wild places.

Summer Catch up ☀️

I have been soaking up the best bits of summer! Sea swims, family celebrations, woodland walks and plenty of time spent enjoying the outdoors! Alongside that I’ve been quietly making at my bench when it’s been cool enough. (We have had 5 heatwaves here in the UK!)

As the seasons change and we welcome the ‘ber’ months I am looking forward to sharing a bit more of my jewellery and some of the inspiration behind it.

The First Gold Starfall Pebble ✨

This litttle pebble has journeyed from one of my favourite Dorest coves to be hand cast in recycled 9ct gold ready for a very special wedding.

My Starfall pebbles are hand cast just the once making each pebble truly one of a kind. Once the casting process is complete the pebbles get cleaned and returned to the shore to continue on their own journey with the tide.

This pebble carries a thousand stories, shaped by the sea and time and its most beautiful chapters are still waiting to be written ✨

It may be June but the weather seems to have other ideas here in Devon, so here is a little offering for this cold and very wet Monday.

Did you know that garnet stones used to be carried as a protective talisman to guide travellers safely home, believing its deep red ember could light the way through the darkness.
