We are constantly making high quality 'practice' and 'half' sets and try to avoid waiting lists. Our 'Practice' sets comprise Bellows, Bag and Chanter, much as you would expect from any Uilleann pipe maker, with the addition that all our bags are supplied with our own style Drone s
tock cap already fitted, and included in the price. The drone stock cap comes with a removable 'plug', and our set of drones replace this to upgrade to a 'half' set. Our drone stock differs from that of other Uilleann pipe makers (that we know of) in that it only has holes for the 3 drones. Using our sets mean that customers do not 'fork out' large sums unnecessarily, and they can progress at their own pace to a level they aspire to. Our chanters and bellows can often be 'carried over' to 'full' sets made by other Uilleann pipe makers, again helping to keep finances more affordable. All of our chanters are supplied keyless, and without key mounts, to keep prices keen and to meet the needs of the level of player. However, we pride ourselves on using only top quality materials; these being Ebony, African Blackwood, Boxwood, Nickel Silver, Stainless Steel.
