Two weeks until the Yorkshire Coast Makers Summer Artisan Fair at Queen Street Methodist Church in Scarborough.
I love doing this fair as the fabulous volunteers at the church make the most wonderful tea and cakes. Plus there will be a wonderful selection of makers there from across the North Yorkshire Coast.

Hip Hip Hooray! It’s Yorkshire Day!!

We made it down the beach nice and early before the crowds (and clouds!) descended on us, and what a beautiful morning it was. Calm sea perfect for practicing our skimming skills.

Today is Summer Solstice, the longest day, the mid point of the year and the beginning of astronomical Summer. It can mean new beginnings or the celebration of light and growth.

I dragged myself out at 4am in the hope of witnessing a glorious sunrise only to be met with the sound of the fog horn! I could see clear skies until I reached the beach which was blanketed with a low set fret. Still beautiful and atmospheric but not quite the welcome I was expecting.

I thought I’d share this beautiful solstice sunrise from 2024 and if you swipe you can see this mornings muted seascape along with the disappearing castle!

With Christmas shopping well underway this is just a quick Monday morning reminder that my last posting date for International Delivery is Friday 5th December.

Last posting date for UK orders will be Wednesday 17th December to allow for any Royal Mail delays during the elves busiest time of year. I will still happily post orders after this date however I cannot guarantee they will arrive before the big day. All of your orders will be posted by Royal Mail Tracked48 so we can keep an eye on them.

What a fabulous day I had yesterday Christmas Artisan Fair. Queen Street Church is such a beautiful venue and the Christmas decorations made it feel extra festive. Despite the rain we had lots of lovely visitors and there were so many wonderful makers to buy from. I managed to tick off some of my Christmas shopping as well as a little .thomas.pottery treat for myself.
This was my only in person fair this weekend but do t worry, my online shops will still be open for another couple of weeks for all your sparkly seaside gifts.
