What a summer that was! But we are grateful for the rain now, for the cooler air and the beginning of autumn. Soon be time for the 2026 Meads Makers fabulous Autumn Fair! Sunday 20th September from 11 am until 3pm. Free entry, delicious homemade cakes, savouries and refreshments and dog friendly with free parking nearby. Come and say hello!! 🍁🍄

Too hot for metalwork today! So having fun in the garden adding some pattern to an old lampshade. Acrylic paint and a good old Sharpie. Very therapeutic 🤪😂

This is a brilliant venue and such a lovely monthly event. I highly recommend Meads Makers for any art and craft stallholders looking for a pitch, as the organisers are great and the table fees very reasonable. There is plenty of regular footfall from the local residents as well as holiday makers looking for a souvenir or two. So if you are a maker of the unique and gorgeous, why not join us! We are a very friendly bunch 😃

We’re putting together a gorgeous Summer Solstice Fair and we’re looking for a few more talented stall holders to join our line‑up.

If you create beautiful handmade goods: art, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, homewares, gifts, or anything wonderfully crafted, we’d love to hear from you. This fair is all about celebrating creativity, community, and the longest day of the year with an abundance of local talent.

And now for something completely different. I'm calling these my "Small Profits" ( 😁) little handmade polymer clay people in recycled copper box bezels, great fun to make. I think the aged look goes well with the vintage find necklaces but my daughter looked at me with concerned eyes and said, ' are you ok Mum?' We shall see. These and much more will be at the May Meads Makers Fair on Sunday the 17th. Come and see them! 11am until 3 pm. Lots of lovely stalls with lots of gorgeous things, super people and delicious homemade cake, tea and coffee as well. 🌼🌿
