Some new old stuff for the Vintage Market at Saltdean Lido on Sunday 8th Feb. 11 until 3pm, free entry!

Every so often my lovely brother sends me a bucket of metal things that he finds when he's out metal detecting. They arrive covered in crud and almost unidentifiable, and I have hours of fun cleaning them and researching what they are. Coins, buckles and buttons are reasonably straightforward but the plethora of misshapen broken bits of stuff are a totally different challenge. Think I've nailed it with the pendant for the necklace though, looks like it's part of a 17th or 18th century brass shoe or stocking/knee buckle! 🤔

Some interesting and totally unique jewellery pieces ready for next weekend's Christmas Makers Market at Seven Sisters Country Park. As well as gorgeous top quality semi precious stones and hand forged copper clasps, they include various ancient treasures, ( buckles, coins, tokens, an acorn harness brass, even part of a ship's map compass ⚓) found by my detectorist brother. Great gifts for antique or history geeks! Each piece comes with a gift bag and card describing the items and where they were found.

Not long now! So many exciting vendors and such a wonderful venue. Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December. I'll be there both days with some new and unique jewellery and other lovely things.There will be log fires, mulled wine and mince pies, apparently!

Thanks to everyone who came to the lovely Autumn Meads Makers Market yesterday. Such a great day and so many lovely people.
I'm very excited about my next event, which is the Christmas Fair at Seven Sisters Country Park. It's all weekend on the 6th and 7th December. It's getting colder now too, much more Christmassy! I'm told there will be mulled wine, mince pies and wood fires, as well as hundreds of different original gifts to choose for your family and friends. Hope to see you there 🎄🥳🎁

Flame painted copper! Very autumnal 🍁🍁🍄 All will be available at the lovely Meads Makers Market this coming Sunday. Open 11 until 3pm, free entry, free parking nearby, homemade cakes and refreshments and lots of lovely people selling the beautiful things they created. It’s well worth a visit.

Dreaming of Spain! 💃
I was looking at an empty paprika tin and I thought, that's so pretty, it seems a shame to crush it. I wonder....
And so here they are. The tin has been cut and sanded smooth, hammered into shape and joined with agate, magnesite and citrine beads and sterling silver hooks.
These and more will be available at the Meads Makers Market on Sunday 24th. It's a lovely venue; refreshments are available, it's free entry, there's free parking nearby and lots of lovely original art and locally handmade goodies to see and buy. Hope to see you there 🙂
