This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous jewellery retail or jewellery workshop experience who enjoys working with people and appreciates the craftsmanship and quality of fine jewellery.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position where no two days are quite the same.
You will be involved in all aspects of our jewellery business, including:
Providing friendly, knowledgeable advice to customers purchasing jewellery and watches.
Assisting customers with jewellery repairs, alterations and other specialist services.
Replacing watch batteries and fitting watch straps.
Carrying out minor jewellery repairs where appropriate.
Purchasing gold and silver from customers, including testing and assessing precious metals.
Preparing, displaying and maintaining jewellery in our showcases and window displays.
Cleaning and polishing jewellery to maintain our high presentation standards.
Processing sales, handling cash and card transactions, and completing end-of-day cashing up.
Receiving, checking and recording new jewellery and watch stock.
Helping maintain a clean, attractive and welcoming shop environment.

This stunning ring created in London in 1999 has a 5ct oval emerald surrounded by 16 round brilliant cut diamonds of good colour and clarity (assed as VS2, G/H colour). These are all set in 18ct yellow gold.
The emerald is lighter in colour and has inclusions in, as most emeralds do. But it still makes an impact.
The ring is a UK size M – but could easily be re sized.
The total weight approximately 6.4g
