Two sterling silver bangles made to go with my ‘Beneath the Waves’ collection. The one with the larger holes was a commission, the other will be on my stall tomorrow at Artisans at Escot Autumn Fair.

Shades of blue are probably my favourite colours but Autumnal sunset colours come a close second.
A couple of these rings have yet to find the right sized finger but they will when the time is right. That’s the thing with one of a kind things, sometimes they take a long time to get snapped up. It doesn’t mean they aren’t gorgeous, it just means the right person hasn’t found them yet.

Lots of things can go wrong when making jewellery, melting the metal is probably the most common but the most heartbreaking is cracking the stone and not noticing until you’ve done the final polish and are taking photos.
Can you see the crack?
Opals are fragile, especially doublets like these that have a thin slice of opal adhered to a backing to make them usable in jewellery.
On the plus side, three out of four of these tiny pendants survived and will be on my stall at Gill Melly Autumn Fair in two weeks time.

I needed to switch off from work so decided to have a little break in Wales, I was hopeful for the weather to be kind, according to the forecast there was only a 30% chance of rain. But it seems that in West Wales that means it will definitely rain ☔️. I also learnt that crows eyes flash when they blink and that black treacle tart is pretty disgusting, particularly when served with orange sorbet instead of vanilla iceream.
Now back to it and it’s time to start ramping up the promotion for Gill Melly Autumn Fair.
