I particularly search for glamorous, elegant and timeless pieces that would wonderfully accessorise your wedding outfit, evening dress or prom dress. hat you are looking for. You will also see some one of a kind re-purposed jewellery which I make from the things I find that are broken or sad or have bits missing. I also offer a restringing and hand knotting service for your pearls or other jewellery. Or I can repurpose some old beads or broken heirloom into something new. I found this rare and collectable Czech glass necklace in a huge vintage and antiques barn amongst 1000’s of pieces of jewellery/furniture/household things and every other thing you can think of!

I didn’t realise until I got home that 2 of the yellow glass flowers were broken, but I have now replaced them with some little pink flowers which I have hand wired with bronze wire and added in. They match in really well.

It’s not perfect but it’s still beautiful.

Ciro real pearl 2 strand necklace which has just been restrung. It took me a long time to restring these beautiful real pearls because I wanted to do it perfectly, and I am really pleased with them.

They look and feel wonderful and close with a 9 ct gold push in box clasp. The pearls are authenticated with this certificate from the Pacific Pearl company dated from the 1960’s.

New in my Etsy shop are these vintage pearl choker and bracelet with a lovely central pendant of sapphire blue. The choker is based on one that was worn by Lady Diana in the 1980’s.

How do you know if your pearl necklace needs restringing?

*Is the silk thread stretched and showing gaps between the pearls?
*Is the silk thread dirty, discoloured or frayed?
*Are the pearls dull and dirty?
*Is the French wire (where the thread attaches to the pearls) black or green and tarnished?

If the answer is yes then it’s time to restring your pearls. Restringing will protect your necklace from breaking and loosing pearls. It will make it look more pleasing due to being correctly tensioned, with pearls evenly spaced, and it will drape better. It will also help preserve their beauty and value.

Whether you have modern or vintage pearls be sure to look after them and they will be beautiful and glamorous for years to come ✨.

A OOAK necklace made from the front piece of a broken necklace and some amethyst beads.

I have draws and containers full of broken pieces of jewellery, as I don’t like to ever throw anything away. When I am feeling inspired I sit down and see which bits look good together and make something new 😊
