A super pretty aqua & diamond white gold ring we’ve just finished for our client.
And , of course being the jewellery nerd I am 🤓 I’m armed with some fun facts !
✨The Emerald’s Blue Cousin , Aquamarine and emerald are both varieties of the mineral beryl. The only real difference is that aquamarine got the cool, calming blue from iron, while emerald got its jealous green from chromium.
✨ Mermaid Treasure 🧜‍♀️🪎Legend has it that aquamarine was originally found in a mermaid’s treasure chest and given to sailors as a lucky charm. It was basically the original “message in a bottle,” but way more expensive. 🤣

The diamond eternity - The premise of this ring goes back about 4,000 years to ancient Egypt, where a husband would give his wife a ring shaped like a snake eating its own tail. This charmingly morbid symbol was called the Ouroboros—the “tail devourer”. It represented the infinite cycle of life, love, and rebirth. So the original eternity ring wasn’t a delicate diamond band , like here. It was, in fact was a gold serpent locked in an eternal, slightly cannibalistic embrace 😳The Greeks and Romans later picked up the plain metal band idea for weddings, which was a bit less bitey 🤣
