Excited to finally share this recent commission with you. I am always honoured when someone asks me to create an engagement ring. It is one thing to be trusted to carefully craft the perfect ring and another to keep it all under wraps whilst making.....a very lovely secret to be trusted with.

I had so much fun hosting these gorgeous ladies for a bangle making workshop.
We spent a lovely few hours on a Saturday morning learning to hammer texture, measure, form and solder a beautiful bangle.

The Process

I thought I'd share some behind-the-scenes snaps from my latest up-cycle commission...
Starting with a stunning vintage single Ruby and double diamond claw set ring, I transformed it into a contemporary piece suitable to commemorate a special 30th birthday.
The process involves carefully disassembling the stones, melting down the gold, and shaping it into the desired form through rolling and annealing, rolling and annealing.
Metal is an amazingly resilient material, one of the reasons I love working with it so much, it allows me to melt, roll and hammer repeatedly to find its new life.
The final result, a beautifully modern ring with two offset diamonds for a contemporary twist...and one very happy birthday girl! 🎈😁🎁

I'm absolutely delighted to share this stunning golden ring with you 😍
I was super excited to be commissioned to create this one-of-a-kind piece as a surprise 30th birthday gift.
A lovely mum entrusted me with some treasured family heirlooms which we reimagined into a modern design that would resonate with the daughter's personal style, while preserving the sentimental value.
After chatting around a few design concepts, we settled on this exquisite two-diamond twist setting.

For me, jewellery is all about the sentiment and the story so of course I was totally delighted when my cousin asked to make her Wedding rings with me. It felt right that they were the first couple to create in my new workshop space, bringing excited energy and lots of laughs. It was such a joy to see them so enthused about the making process and the resulting rings are testament to their dedication to detail. Watching them support each other through every part of the process reminds me what a brilliant team they are and I am so excited to see them married 💕
