Mr Sherwood is the jewellery design practice of Darren Sherwood, a London based maker with a career shaped through work for internationally recognised houses including Cartier, Graff Diamonds and Fabergé.

His pieces are made to be worn then lived with until they become inseparable from the person who owns them.

Lucy has been making jewellery by hand for twenty-four years. Working from her studio at Cockpit Arts in London, she fabricates every piece herself using traditional goldsmithing techniques — constructing each element individually.
Unusual gemstone compositions within mixed metals are central to her practice and the result is jewellery with an unmistakable presence. Architectural, substantial, made to be worn and enjoyed every day — not just saved for special occasions.

A little update from the gallery 🤍

We’re asking everyone who currently has a commission with us to please bear with us a little longer.

Unfortunately, Victoria has injured her back and is currently completely out of action. It’s hugely frustrating for all of us, not least because it has meant missing some important events such as Goldsmith Fair and more importantly, has inevitably caused delays to commissions.

As many of you know, Victoria makes every piece by hand herself, so there simply isn’t a way to hand work over to someone else while she recovers. We know how special and important your commissions are, and we’re genuinely sorry that some of you are having to wait longer than expected.

We really appreciate your patience, understanding and kindness while Victoria takes the time she needs to recover properly. We’ll keep everyone updated individually, and as soon as she is able to get back to the bench, she’ll be doing what she loves most, making your jewellery. ❤️

Opening in November, BY HAND will bring together an exceptional selection of independent jewellers, celebrating the artistry, craftsmanship and individuality of jewellery made by hand.

From beautifully considered everyday pieces to opulent jewels made to be treasured, the exhibition will be a celebration of the hands, skill and imagination behind each piece; a chance to discover something truly special to gift, covet and keep.

Before turning to jewellery, Lena worked as a costume and props designer, an experience that brings a strong sense of storytelling and imagination to her work.
Drawing inspiration from the hand motif found throughout Victorian jewellery, Lena reimagines this enduring symbol with fresh meaning and artistic depth.
Her experimental approach sees her continually exploring how a piece can transform in form, meaning and function. A brooch might metamorphose into a sautoir, then become a bracelet, or even evolve into a sculptural form that can be worn as a necklace.

Sometimes, time is best spent doing absolutely nothing.

A little space to breathe.

There is something about being surrounded by nature that allows the mind to slow down and creative energy to return, ideas seem to find their way in when we stop looking for them.

A little time in the Lakes, a change of perspective, and a reminder that making space for ourselves is just as important as making.
