I’m heading to Italy to attend the CIBJO Centenary Congress in Padova and VicenzaOro.

I’ll have limited access to emails while I’m away, and all enquiries will be answered when I return to the office on Tuesday 8 September.

I’m looking forward to a few inspiring days of industry discussions, presentations and catching up with colleagues from around the world. 🇮🇹💎

📣 A little out-of-office update…

August is shaping up to be a particularly busy month, so I wanted to give clients a little advance notice that I’ll be spending quite a bit of time away from my Glasgow office over the next few weeks.

💎 This week – out of the office with existing work commitments
📍 Next week – working in London
💎 The following week – out of the office with existing work commitments
🇮🇹 Then from 3rd September – heading to Italy for CIBJO Congress

I’ll still be keeping an eye on emails and messages throughout, but responses may occasionally take a little longer than usual and my availability for appointments in Glasgow will be more limited.

It’s going to be a very busy few weeks, but I’m incredibly fortunate that my work takes me to some interesting places and brings such a variety of pieces across my desk! 💎

One of the questions I’m asked most often is:

“Do I need to leave my jewellery with you?”

The answer is no.

Every valuation is carried out by appointment while you wait. During our time together, I carefully examine and catalogue each item, recording all the information needed to produce a detailed and accurate valuation.

That means:
💎 Your sentimental jewellery never has to be sent away.
💎 You don’t have to be without treasured pieces for weeks.
💎 You receive a personal, one-to-one service where you can ask questions throughout the appointment.

Once everything has been documented, I complete the valuation and send it to you, usually within 2–3 working days.

For many clients, knowing their jewellery stays with them throughout the process provides invaluable peace of mind.

I’m Sammantha, an independent jewellery and watch valuer based in Glasgow, offering professional valuations for jewellery, watches, diamonds and coloured gemstones.

All valuations are carried out in person, either at my Glasgow office or by home visit for suitable appointments. Your items are assessed directly and professionally, without the need to send them away.

On Saturday evening at our Valuers’ Conference I was honoured to be awarded the prestigious David Wilkins Valuer of the Year Award.

This award is voted for by peers within the profession, which makes this recognition even more meaningful and humbling.

I feel incredibly grateful to work within such a supportive and respected industry, and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported, encouraged, and trusted me throughout my career. To be recognised alongside so many talented valuers is something I will truly treasure.

A huge thank you as well to my colleagues, clients, friends, and family for their continued support — I couldn’t do what I do without you all.
