Last Night I Dreamt is located in the beautiful historic Minster town of Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Described as the “mini Liberty” of the East Midlands, Last Night I Dreamt has become a destination jewellery boutique, housing some of the best designers from the world of jewellery. It’s a known fact that once jewellery lovers step over the threshold of Last Night I Dreamt, they rarely leave without a little white bag containing something sparkly. ✨

Some say it’s witchcraft. Others say we’ve cast a spell. 🔮

Perhaps it’s the diamonds, the beautiful designer jewellery or a little bit of magic woven into the walls of our Georgian jewellery shop.

Whatever it is, there’s definitely something enchanting going on in our little corner of Southwell. 🌙

And seeing as it’s the season of the witch, we’re not about to break the spell. 🪄

This Sunday, we’re packing up a little of the Last Night I Dreamt magic and heading to the Norwood Wedding Fair!

Eight miles into the Peak District, perfectly alone… Will asked Polly to marry him. 💍✨

Just the two of them, miles from anywhere, surrounded by the wild beauty of the Peaks. Honestly, could there be a more romantic place to say YES? 🤍

And Will had thought of everything — after the proposal, the celebrations continued with a gorgeous meal and a night away in the Peaks. The perfect ending to a pretty perfect day.

We loved helping Will design this bespoke engagement ring for the gorgeous Polly — created especially for her and for a moment he’d planned so beautifully.

No audience. No distractions. Just Polly and Will, a very special ring and one very important question.

She said YES.

Well this feels rather timely… 👀🗡️

A little throwback to the 00s and me with Richard E. Grant while filming.

Long before Last Night I Dreamt, when my world was TV, radio, filming, studios and locations — and occasionally included slightly surreal moments like this one.

And tonight Richard heads into the castle for the brand new series of The Celebrity Traitors. Cut him and he bleeds TRAITOR.

I’ll be watching VERY closely. Let the games begin. Go bestie RichE!!

Also, can we take a moment for the gloriously Noughties photograph? The flash. The pixels. The black roll necks. No filters. No portrait mode. Just vibes.

9 years together… and then THIS. 🥹💍🏔️

Sam chose a meadow in Yosemite National Park to ask Sophie the biggest question of all — and it was a complete surprise. Having visited Yosemite myself and been moved to tears by its sheer majesty, this one really got me — quite possibly the most breathtakingly beautiful proposal we’ve ever had the privilege of being part of.

The happy jumps say absolutely everything. (Swipe ⬅️ to see!)

And then came the ring…

Sam and Sophie live here in Southwell, and with family already shopping at Last Night I Dreamt, Sophie told us it was a “no brainer” to come to us to try on engagement rings and find the one.

We especially loved what Sophie said about choosing to shop locally:

“I love supporting independent businesses, and ones where we live makes it even better and more sentimental.” ❤️

From a meadow in Yosemite to our little corner of Nottinghamshire. What an absolute joy to be part of this chapter after nine years of their love story.
