I’ve finally got around to posting! There seems to be an endless amount of things involved in being a designer-maker, and socials always seem to be my last priority when I have beautiful things to make!

Here’s a gorgeous diamond and sapphire ring in different lights that found its way to a very lucky lady this week. Inspired by an antique target ring, what an absolute beauty she is! It’s pieces like this, and the joy they bring, that make me feel so lucky to do what I love! ❤️✨

And that’s us officially powering down… 😂👋

After working pretty much every day since April, Ray and I are absolutely popped and it’s finally time for us to take a proper break.

We’re switching off completely for the next couple of weeks, so we won’t be answering emails, WhatsApps or messages until 15th October. Please still feel free to get in touch, your message will be there waiting for me and I’ll pick everything back up when we’re back at work.

If you currently have a bespoke order with us, please don’t worry, everything is in hand and I’ve probably already sent you a message with an update before we left. Your piece has been scheduled around our time away, so you don’t need to do anything.

In the meantime, the lovely Abi will be holding the fort at Market Place, St Ives, Wednesday–Saturday, 11am–4pm, for anyone who fancies a browse or needs to collect something.

Bespoke enquiries, repairs, plating and permanent jewellery will all resume from 16th October.

Right… where’s that OFF button? 👋😂

Thank you to our lovely customer today for reminding us that it’s our wedding anniversary! 😂

September has been such a busy month that somehow Ray and I both completely forgot.

We married in 2010, when our lives looked very different. There was definitely a lot more boozing back then! 😂 It was also a time that held a lot of uncertainty, as Ray’s beautiful mum was very poorly and sadly couldn’t be there with us. It was such a wonderful day, but we missed her so much. May she rest in peace. ❤️

Life is challenging, hard, beautiful and wonderful, often all at the same time. And I think there’s something very special about going through all of it with someone you know, with absolute certainty, loves you unconditionally.

And that we do.

Please excuse the tired face, questionable lighting, Ray clanking away in the kitchen and the general lack of professionalism in this video 😂 But hey ho, we’re real here.

I really just wanted to tell you that my lovely choir, Meor Voices, are performing at The Western Hotel in St Ives this Sunday evening at 7pm.

We’re a female choir singing alternative, indie and folk songs, including music by Björk, Portishead and The Staves, so perhaps not quite what springs to mind when you hear the word “choir”.

I think tickets are around £8, and if you’re in St Ives this Sunday, it would be so lovely to see some familiar faces there.

Sparkly gemstones and diamonds are heading into the cabinets today ✨

I finally finished these pieces, scrubbed the polishing compound from my hands and took them outside to photograph them against the beautiful backdrop of St Ives, just a minute from our doorstep.

So, what are you up to this Saturday?

Our Saturdays are usually spent right here, in our little shop in St Ives. You’ll generally find me either chatting to customers or tucked away at my bench making jewellery.

I’ll admit, I do sometimes look out at everyone pottering around St Ives and think… that looks quite nice. A coffee, a wander, maybe a bit of jewellery shopping myself. But when you run your own shop, Saturdays are work days.

And to be fair, getting to spend them here, making jewellery and meeting all of you isn’t a bad way to spend a Saturday.

So if you’re the one out pottering, pop in and say hello.
