The final few days of the three week tour were brilliant! Having re-visited many groups from year's past and made lots of new friends on the way, the whole tour has been an adventure! That said - no thanks to the M6, M25 or M60 for the traffic! But a huge thank you to the ladies of Pound Green Shinfield WI, Mannings Heath WI and Prestwich & Whitefield WI for hosting such enjoyable meetings to end my travels. Thanks to everyone who has helped me to make this tour and I do hope I will be back to see you all again! I shall head home tomorrow to a lot of mending and sorting the orders from the tour - I do like refurbishing treasured jewellery! Thank you again everyone!

My next two venues and groups were re-visits for me and both just as enjoyable as before. First the grandeur of Ansty Hall in Cambridge for my talk to the supporters of the Sick Children's Trust and then the following day to breezy Lymington in Hampshire for the Hampshire WI Federation tea. Fantastic views and delicious scones with cream and jam! I really enjoyed both events and the friendly welcomes make these trips so worthwhile and lovely for me. Thank you to Patsy and to Penny who organised each event and to all those who helped or came along and especially to my new pearly customers!

String of exquisite vintage cream graduated Akoya sea pearls in navy box with silk and velvet lining. Box printed with ‘Dibdin & Co. Ltd. 189 Sloan Street SW1.’ Pearls in excellent condition. Pearls graduate from 3-7mm. Newly cleaned and restrung; fully knotted on fine white silk. Original silver diamanté-set diamond-shaped slider clasp. All stones secure in place. 44 centimetres (17.25 inches).

JUST SOLD Beautiful vintage Japanese Akoya pearl necklace in its box... Necklace 29. This string of high-quality vintage cream graduated Akoya sea pearls is sold in its brown box with silk and velvet lining. Box printed with ‘James Walker Ltd. The London Jewellers, Watchmakers to the Admiralty, 78/79 Hertford St. Coventry.’ Pearls in excellent condition. Pearls graduate from 2-7mm. Newly cleaned and restrung; fully knotted on fine white silk. Original silver etched oval slider clasp, with inset pearl. 51 centimetres (20 inches). Sold in box.

Onwards around the tour route and three more talks to complete the week... Ledbury WI, Colwall Ladies Club and Bradfield WI. I have to say the welcomes have been so wonderful and friendly and I have met so many familiar friends from all over the south, who chose to come again and many new ladies now passionate about pearls! Thank you all to those who organise these events - I know how much work it takes and thanks to all who came and bought pearls. I am sure they will all be wearing them with pride and joy!
