Her work is handcrafted in her Stromness workshop on the West Mainland of Orkney, north Scotland. Alison’s distinctive jewellery reflects her curiosity and passion for everything around her, with the natural world a particular inspiration. From the stunning hidden environments beneath the surface of Orkney’s seas, to the magical spectacle of the Northern Lights, Alison loves it all. Working mostly with silver and a palette of beautiful gemstones, she creates thoughtful keepsakes designed to be worn, enjoyed and treasured for a lifetime. Alison’s jewellery is crafted in her Stromness studio, in Orkney’s west mainland. If you don't catch her in her workshop, you’ll find her work on sale throughout the islands and further afield.

Early one morning last October, I was standing on the deck of the Hamnavoe headed to mainland Scotland, and I found myself completely mesmerised by the sea below.

As the ferry turned to leave Stromness harbour, the water swirled and twisted beneath us creating the most beautiful patterns.

I stood watching it for ages, and those swirling Orkney waters became the idea for a new ring. Coming soon... 🌊 🩵
