Silver Hummingbird I mainly work in Silver; as I love the way you can manipulate and move the metal; the traditional methods of Silversmithing are very close to my heart.

Since graduating from BCUC in 2001, with a Design Metalwork and Jewellery degree, I have been lovingly designing and hand crafting beautiful bespoke silver and gold tableware and jewellery. I believe that hand crafted items should be designed, made and used to not only embellish the individual or table, but to enhance emotions and experiences in our daily lives. p, so why not have a silver spoon to stir it! I begin my designs by gathering inspiration from nature and the countryside around my home in Gloucestershire, and also from the beautiful Cornish coast where I love to escape to.....and surf! I predominately work in sterling silver, as I love the movement, colour and richness that you can get from this material; the traditional methods and values that come hand in hand with Silversmithing have always been close to my heart. I love mixing materials too, so also work in gold, platinum, copper, wood, stone and gemstones. Whatever I feel works best for each design. I mainly design and make bespoke, one off pieces - so when you buy a piece from Silver Hummingbird, it truly is just 'yours' to love and treasure.
