This month we have a touch of British pageantry as we celebrate the month of Trooping the Colour in London. The ceremony has been performed every year since 1748 to mark the sovereign’s official birthday. The pomp and ceremony of the occasion is a very popular event for tourists and the streets of London are packed as the Household Division of the Armed Forces march past before a 41 gun salute takes place in Green Park.

Patty has paid homage to the event with a the red, white and blue themed creation oozing the British tradition.

Summertime has officially arrived here in the northern hemisphere and after a glorious end to May we are now back to rainy weather! Hopefully the sun will return soon and we can return to bustling beaches and enjoying outdoor activities without an umbrella!
Gemini and Cancer will be celebrating birthdays this month with Rose and Honeysuckle blooming as the birth flowers. Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite are the birthstones for the month and we have a selection of appropriately themed jewellery at our sister site, Macrow.com, for that special present.

The 5th June is World Environment Day followed by World Oceans Day on the 8th and for something more celestial, International Asteroid Day is on the 30th June.

The 2026 World Cup will be exciting people of all nations during June but if you want to just want to chill and relax you can always participate in World Sauntering Day on the 19th which encourages people to slow down and enjoy life!!

We have something for everyone here and having just stock-checked nearly 10,000 beads it would be hard not to find a perfect bead for that special occasion.
