The crablet wedding was a real family handmade affair. I was thrilled to make a few things for the day.
Here are a few pics of my contributions:
1/ The wedding rings. Fortunately they wanted silver. I can’t afford any gold failures!
2/ A prize for one of the many puzzles our son created for the day. A copper dragonfly on driftwood. I hope the winner was pleased with it after all their effort to solve the puzzle and open the chest.
3/ The stand for the piñata wedding cake. This was massively popular with the kids - especially our granddaughter (and chief bridesmaid) Lulu who gave it a right seeing to! Got to give Dan his 100 year old car wheel back now, although I think it would make a fabulous table top…
4/ A vintage-style surfing sheep hoopla. Again, the kids seemed to enjoy it. This will now be kept for the latest granddaughter, Pippa, for when she’s big enough to have a go.
5/ 109 wooden drink tokens branded with the wedding “logo”. Took a lot of burning. Our house still smells faintly of wood smoke.
There were plenty more handmade gifts and decor which made the day that bit more special and certainly unique.
