An engagement ring remodel, designed to evolve
One of the most rewarding parts of creating bespoke jewellery is watching a design take shape alongside the person who’ll wear it.
For A, this engagement ring and wedding ring remodel centred around the aquamarine from her original engagement ring, a gemstone filled with sentiment and the starting point for an entirely new design.
Crafted in 14ct yellow gold, the finished ring pairs a bezel set aquamarine with asymmetrically placed claw set diamonds, creating a contemporary composition that’s both refined and effortless. A wearable modern heirloom, designed to be worn every day.
During every jewellery remodelling commission, we refine the design together. The first sketch is rarely the final design, and that’s exactly how bespoke should feel. As ideas evolve, so do the details.
One of the most important stages of the process is creating a resin model. Seeing a design in three dimensions often changes how a piece feels, how the proportions sit on the hand, and even how the gemstones work together.
Originally, A had chosen peach sapphires to accompany the aquamarine. But after seeing the resin model in person, she realised the diamonds allowed the aquamarine to truly take centre stage. A small design decision that completely transformed the finished piece.
