✨ Magic of the forest
One thing I promised myself while I have the new shop, is to not burn myself out. So I'm definitely having days off every week.
When I was a young graduate, making Jewellery and running my business was my life. But I worked so hard that I burned myself out a few times and it affected my physical and mental health.
Since taking a pause in my business while I had my daughter, then extending my maternity due to COVID, and going through the grief of losing my babies. I appreciate how precious everything is in life. Things can change in a heartbeat. We need to allow ourselves to find the time for joy in life, as well as take time out to nurture our souls and find inspiration in the world around us.
If you've been following my work, you'll know I'm inspired by the forest, natural rock formations and the textures of water and the Scottish landscape.
I've been so busy setting up and settling in the new gallery, that I was craving some time in nature. I had a lovely day on Monday with my husband and took a trip to the Magical Dunino Den.
I can't believe I dunino about this beautiful and magical place before Monday. 🤣
I've come away calm, energised and fully inspired to make new Jewellery.
It's definitely worth a visit. We will definitely go back there. Are you aware of magical places near the area you live? I'm definitely looking to visit more places like this, so if you can recommend other places to visit with a lovely forest and little waterfalls or streams please let me know.
