I have left my trading spot by the for the summer, according to my licence I can only trade in any one place for two weeks at a time.

So now i am moving on and plan to make my way down the canal slowly to Whitchurch in time for the canal festival at the beginning of September.

I have made my way back from Yorkshire just in time to catch the summer solstice sunset on the .

Its been 6 months since the breach at Whitchurch, which changed all my plans dramatically at the beginning of the year. But it bought something else unexpected and positive instead.

This has been a very special place for me this year. Its where I come to regularly to trade and it's when I have found community amongst the other boaters and traders.

I am moving back into my van (Cosy Rosie). Its festival season and I am now full time selling from the van. This week i am . So if your around come and find me just am in row B.

The van was truly a mess after I was living in it last year when i was working on the boat. The van does not have heating so when I finally got my fire installed at the beginning of December, the boat seemed like the best place to live. I just abandoned her as is. I got some pretty unpleasant surprises when cleaning her, I can tell you.

Anyway I am now looking forward to a new season in the van, she is such a cosy place to be.

I bit late with this one, it was sunny 🌞 today but yesterday the welsh weather 🌧 ruined another trading day. Nevermind, I was able to crack on with making some ring bands for the summer festivals coming up very soon.

The end result of the rings hopefully i'll be able to share in a couple of days.

I'll be at the for another 2 days (Monday and Tuesday). Then I'll be moving back to the van (Cosy Rosie) and starting a run of summer festivals and fairs. Starting with

I'll try to open today, but the weather is really bad again. If you do come up to the boat to buy something just knock on the boat and ill open up for you.

I have decided to close for business today and get on with other work. Ie setting some stones that j have been trying to find the time to do all week. I might open in the afternoon still if I have finished and the weather cheers up a bit.

Sometimes getting faulty goods in the post is a positive thing. I ordered this hammer from a very reputable supplier to replace one I had lost. I was shocked when I opened the package that the hammer had essentially not been made correctly and the rounded end was jagged.

I was going to return it but then I decided that it would be really useful as a unique texture hammer. Lucky I found my original hammer.

I am back at the Auqaduct in for the next two weeks, my last stay was so short it feels as though it never happened.

To find me cross the aqueduct and keep walking for 100m and you will find me and other narrowboat traders, with our unique floating market stalls.
