As we get older, life gets busier. There are bundles of joy, big life changes, a million things to juggle and everything in between. So when you finally get that precious time together, there's plenty to celebrate… including those belated birthdays!

But honestly, can you think of a better way to catch up than a little creative time at the bench? Good chats, plenty of smiles and the chance to make something beautiful together.

Grandma + granddaughter + a whole day of fire, silver & creativity = one bloody lovely day at NICOL Studio! ⚒️✨

These two came along for an All Day Silversmithing Experience and absolutely got stuck in.

Between plenty of chatting, giggles and figuring out what on earth the silver was going to do next, they created a brilliant little collection of handmade treasures.

A cheeky little gecko, a beautiful piece of seaglass transformed into a sterling silver pendant and a pair of handmade earrings and even some upcycled jewellery and repairs to boot!

Not a bad day’s work, ladies! 👏

I love seeing generations crafting side by side. There’s something rather special about sharing a new experience, learning together and heading home with jewellery that carries the memory of the day with it.

One whole year since moving to the highstreet at 8 Crown Street, Wellington, TF1 1LP

Honestly… what a year it’s been.

What started as a dream of creating a cosy, welcoming space for people to get creative has become so much more. A place where people come to learn, celebrate, connect, switch off and make something with their own two hands.
