Jewels By The Waves I mainly create unique pieces of jewellery inspired by jewels tumbled by the waves that I collect from beaches on the north Kent coast.

I also sell a vast range of healing crystals including specimens, raw, tumbles, palmstones, towers, spheres & carvings.

Just in time for the Christmas markets! We were bursting at the seams so have taken on a little extra space next door where I’ll concentrate on the weird and wonderful world of vintage! Tenterden is looking so festive already and Sid’s is close behind!

So I’ve been working on these……. Vintage Italian Florence frames which contained painted portraits of children on silk. I removed these carefully and covered the board with reclaimed black velvet that I repurposed from a vintage dress. I have used these to frame vintage brooches and I’m so pleased with the results. The porcelain face needed cleaning as the glue had turned yellow and brittle: the crystals needed re gluing and a few pearls replacing. I have hidden the original paintings and glass inside and replaced the paper backing. What do you think? These will be heading over to next week.

Where have 2 years gone? 21st October with be the 2nd anniversary of the opening of Sids Emporium at 1b East Cross, Tenterden. The shop has gone from strength to strength and has become a go to destination for people wanting to shop for that something unique, unusual and special. I am proud to have been part of its journey since day 1 and here’s to many more years ahead.
