I can finally share some news that has taken a little while to sink in…

I have been accepted as an Associate Member of MAKE Southwest!

I received the news a little while ago, but I honestly couldn’t quite believe it. I needed time to take it in before sharing it properly.

When I attended MAKE Southwest’s Preparing to Sell seminar around two years ago, becoming a member felt like a distant goal—something I hoped I might be good enough to achieve one day.

My jewellery journey began in 2023 with beachcombing and making simple seaglass rings for myself. Since then, it has grown into a practice combining traditional silversmithing, recycled silver, hand-torched enamel and historic heritage dies, all inspired by the South Devon coast and the idea of lost treasures shaped and reclaimed by the sea.

I still feel very much at the beginning fo my journey, which makes this recognition feel even more significant.

MAKE Southwest, formerly the Devon Guild of Craftsmen, champions contemporary craft and supports makers through exhibitions, education and professional opportunities. I’m incredibly proud, and genuinely gratefulto become part of its creative community.

I’m looking forward to learning, developing my work and seeing where this next chapter takes BellEve Jewellery.

**Not every treasure lost to the sea is gold… 💀⚓**

These articulated skeleton earrings feel like tiny relics from a long-lost pirate ship—the souls of its crew rising from beneath the waves to dance once more.

They’re a playful nod to Halloween, but their inspiration lies in the darker side of maritime history: pirates, shipwrecks, folklore and the secrets still hidden beneath the tide.

Barnacle rings—shaped by tide, stone and hand. 🌊

Each one is individually fabricated in silver, bringing together organic textures, tiny barnacle forms and flashes of ocean-inspired colour. No two arrangements are exactly the same.

These statement rings will be available from me at events in the run-up to Christmas. They can also be custom ordered through my website, allowing you to choose your ring size and preferred stone colours—whether you love deep ocean blues, sea greens, soft pinks or something completely personal.

Sunday plans? 🎃

I’ll be at the **Occombe Farm Makers & Producers Market** this Sunday, 11 October, from **10am–2pm** inside the barn.

Come and discover a lovely selection of local makers and producers—I’ll be bringing my handmade, ocean-inspired silver jewellery, including plenty of gift ideas ahead of Christmas.

You can make a day of it too, with pumpkin picking, the café and the play area all open. The market is free to enter, so pop in and say hello!

What a brilliant gathering of the Guild of Enamellers!

It was wonderful to meet such a fantastic mix of people from across the Guild—from complete beginners to highly experienced enamellers. There was such a generous exchange of tips, techniques and experience, with everyone learning from and encouraging one another.

A special thank you to Gillie Hoyte Byrom for guiding us through vitreous enamel pen line and wash, including transparent colour washes, sgraffito and lifting colour to reveal the white enamel beneath.

A thoroughly inspiring day spent creating, experimenting and sharing our love of enamel.
