What a fabulous eclectic, well organised, and friendly market in the Mander Centre yesterday!

Thank you Black Country Artisan Fairs. I enjoyed shopping as much as selling.

Items going up in the shop tomorrow and more to follow, but today I calibrate, tidy and put up the tree.

Always one for making life easier, despite having about 50 earring cards to stamp, a bag to pack, items to price and earrings to tidy up and polish, I've decided to finish a pendant I've been stopping and starting for weeks.

After such a lovely Festive market in Walsall last weekend, I'm really looking forward to the Black Country Artisan Fairs Christmas market at the Mander Centre on Saturday 6th December (this weekend!).

There will be 40 artisan stalls for you to browse through. That's 40 small businesses and local creators being supported, 40 stalls providing unique, handmade, one of a kind gifts. And it's inside, out of the cold/rain.

I'll be near the Tapri Cafe on the ground floor. Let me know you've seen my page and you'll receive a 10% discount.

The weather might have been cold but the atmosphere was not. What a lovely well organised and Christmassy event!

My favourite markets are ones that include atmosphere, conversations, curiosity and questions, sales (obviously) and friendly faces. The good people of Walsall did not disappoint and nor did the organisers.

I do have to get back in the saddle as I need to replenish stock for next weekend, but today I rest.

Taking my place among the open laptops on the train with a last minute pendant, glancing at rolling hills and trees that have started protecting the ground with their leaves, and making the most of the abundance of natural daylight.

Today doesn't feel like work.

Getting ready for a Festive Makers' Market in Walsall (at the Crossing at St Paul's) which is taking place on 29th November and coincides with the Christmas Lights switch on (5:30 at the Bridge - Sister Dora statue).

I'll be at the Crossing between 3:00 and 8:00. It looks like it's going to be a busy day with lots going on!

* Illuminate Projection Show (4:45pm – 5:30pm)
* Festive Makers’ Market (3pm – 8pm)
* Live music and dance performances
* Family-friendly creative workshops
* Christmas Makers' Market at The New Art Gallery Walsall (11am – 3pm)
* Make leather Christmas decorations at Walsall Leather Museum (11am – 3pm. £1.50, drop-in)

After quite a long hiatus (2 and a half years to be precise) where life simply got in the way, I've managed to start resetting and remembering my love for all things metal.

Etching is something I've been curious about and I wanted to see where it took me. This is a test, and there are things I will do differently next time. My draughtsman skills aren't the best. but what fun!

My kitchen is a joyous mess, I have a tray full of crystals and plenty of wire, I've cut/sanded and cleaned 12 pairs of earring blanks and have a Sharpie at the ready.
