How gorgeous are the floral pendants? They were all made at last years You Can Make It in Etsuko's Maki-e pendant making masterclass! 🌸

Ways to use syringe type:
✨ decorate your unfired silver clay with squiggles and lines - it makes beautiful leaves, twigs, and flowers!
✨ add little dotty decorations
✨ create bezels to set lab-created and other safe-to-fire stones before firing. Simply draw a little donut shape and then push your stone in.
✨ use without a tip and make clay "ropes" or snakes, which can be braided, shaped into bail loops, make chain loops, wrapped around a mandrel to make a ring, and more.
✨ on its own to make hollow filigree like designs. Simply create a core shape with an burnable material like wood clay and cover it with the syringe. When you fire the piece, the core will burn away and leave you with a hollow delicate piece.

Torch firing enamels with the wonderful Joy Funnell! 🎨🔥

Watch the video to see just how quick and easy torch firing enamels can be. When firing enamels, safety should always come first, make sure your workspace is well ventilated, as some enamels may contain small amounts of lead.

Remember these three stages of firing enamels:
✨ Sugar
✨ Orange Peel 🍊
✨ Fully Fired (smooth/shiny surface)

TOP TIP: Once your piece has cooled, you can check whether it’s fully fired with a smooth and shiny surface. If not, simply fire it for a little longer.
