Wedding rings on honeymoon with and 💜

This was the first time I'd actually attended the wedding where my rings had the starring role, after the bride and groom of course 😍

It was such an honour to be able to make these rings for my friends. It makes being a jeweller soooo worthwhile.

The gold was from my friend's beloved grandma's ring and the gemstones came from and were the bride and groom's birthstone, plus a beautiful emerald to represent the month of May..

Today I've been making crosses. I'm often asked if I make them so I thought why not. I've really enjoyed the process and there are infinite shapes..

The first cross here is a Tuareg cross. I had one I bought in Morocco when I went with my late mum. It was an eventful trip - she seemed to invite dramatically events - military coups, volcanic eruptions, revolutions - she was there! 🖤

So I loved my cross - bought from a dodgy trader in Ourzazate. It disappeared forever when my beloved mini was stolen 😪

So I've remade it. Not as good as the original, but still a keeper...

Seaglass - a perfect reminder of walking down the beach with the sand beneath your feet and the sound of the sea in the background...

A lot of jewellers make it, but there is a lot of chipping and cutting to turn it into perfect shapes that magically turn up on beaches! And this is absolutely fine 🙂

But... that's not for me. I think it should stay exactly as it was found - with all it's imperfections. The only change I will make is silver leafing the back of the glass. It's time consuming but it means that when air gets behind your glass you won't see the silver tarnish beneath the stone.
