Our repair expertise, together with years of experience, at Youngs Jewellers, covers many aspects of both jewellery and ornaments. We don’t just repair precious jewellery but we also fix costume jewellery. It doesn’t always have to be the expensive jewellery that’s broken, sometimes it’s the sentimental and the irreplaceable items that we fix and repair. There’s always something interesting going on in our workshop 💙

Beautiful silver jewellery, made at Youngs Jewellers, by Nadine. Each piece is set with original Whitby Jet, which is found locally and brilliant-cut diamonds, which are ethically sourced. All hallmarked at the Assay Office.

In the workshop at Youngs Jewellers we have been restringing beads, including Whitby Jet and pearls for more than 40 years. We have completed more than 2000 necklaces and bracelets since the shop opened back in 1983!

Youngs Jewellers first opened in May 1983 (A & K Young) The shop had previously been an off-licence, Goldfinch Wines. It’s beautiful Victorian shop front is admired by many passers-by and quite often photographed for its unique and distinctive design 💙

Just to clarify that here at Youngs Jewellers we only use REAL original WHITBY JET found locally between Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay. We have had stock of this RAW NATURAL LOCALLY SOURCED JET for over 43 years. We still continue to make Whitby Jet Jewellery on site, in our own workshop, as well as repairing antique and modern jewellery.
