A little ‘get to know me’ post…lots of you already know me & know this page has been going in numerous directions over the years because I can never make my mind up 😂 but for those of you who don’t know me, here’s me!
I’m Meg, I have always loved being creative so I’ve had many hobbies like silversmithing, painting, crochet, film photography, even tried my hand at converting my little post van (still a work in progress 2 years later). I love creating new designs on coffees to make customers smile at the cafe I work in, and in the winter I fight a losing battle working with sheep (if you’ve ever worked with sheep you’ll know what I mean haha).
For the longest time I was searching for direction or a goal in my life, but deep down I know all I’ve ever wanted to do was be in a position to help people. I have just completed my level 2 counselling studies, and start my level 3 very soon! I volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Support alongside working to get my qualifications, and it truly is a blessing to feel like you are (even just a small part) of helping someone get to where they need to be.
Now where do plants come into any of this? Well, throughout my life and facing my own hardships, I have found my (slightly excessive) plant collection to be so grounding for me. Even after working 14 hours a day throughout the summer, caring for my plants has never felt like a chore. It’s a place to relax and clear my mind. Some of my plants I have had since I was 16 - that’s 10 years! And it truly feels like they have grown with me.
I know it sounds weird to say that a plant could have changed my life but I wholeheartedly believe they have, and for that I am thankful❤️
Basically what I’m saying is that I’d love to use this page to document my journey throughout my studies, and share some of the positivities my plants have brought me along the way 😋
