In 1969, Seiko launched the 6139, the world's first automatic chronograph, which became known as the Seiko Speedtimer.
Under a curved sapphire crystal glass, a vivid yellow sunburst dial features a bright red second hand, characteristic of the 6139 original. The dial features 12 wide vintage-style indices, each coated with strong Lumibrite for high legibility in the dark. It features the iconic blue and red aluminium bezel design, and a tapered bracelet for increased comfort.
Powered by an in-house V192 solar chronograph movement, this watch charges by both natural and artificial light. Accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month, the solar calibre ensures great precision whilst lasting for 6 months on a single charge.
