It’s a fantastic way to shop small, support independent makers and help reduce waste.

A little reminder that handmade really does mean handmade!

Every piece of jewellery I make starts with an idea and a bit of metal.

From there, it’s a case of measuring, cutting, hammering, soldering and finishing.

No production line, no big team and definitely no little elves working away overnight!

Just me, my tools and a rather satisfying amount of hammering. 🔨

I love creating simple, modern jewellery that can be worn every day but still has a little something special about it.

I also love that each piece is slightly different. Those little variations are part of what makes handmade jewellery so lovely.

Tomorrow, I’ll be taking part in the alongside more than 250 independent makers.

It’s an online event celebrating handmade products, with seconds, samples and end-of-line stock available at discounted prices.

I’ve posted here and there but I’ve got a rather good reason to pop up and post as we’re now on the final countdown to Sophie & Abby | Super Seconds Festival on 3rd and 4th October! 🥳

What’s Super Seconds, I hear you ask?
It’s a rather brilliant online shopping event bringing together over 250 independent artists and makers, all selling seconds, samples, end-of-line stock and other lovely things at bargain prices.

Think handmade jewellery, ceramics, prints, homeware, clothing and all sorts of other goodies. And the best bit? You can find discounts of up to 75%!

It’s also a wonderful way of giving perfectly lovely things a second chance rather than letting them go to waste. ❤️
