Unpopular opinion in 2026: the smartest thing your compliance software can do is be predictable.
Everyone’s racing to bolt generative AI onto everything. But in food-safety pest control, a BRCGS, IFS or ISO 22000 auditor won’t accept «the model decided.» They need a severity score you can explain — and one that comes out the same every time.
So we made determinism the core of PestView, not an afterthought:
↳ Pest thresholds turn each device reading into a severity — e.g. rodents ≥ 3 captures = High
↳ Zone aggregation rules combine those device severities into a weighted zone score, per device type
↳ Same readings + same configured rules → same severity, same findings, same report. Every time.
↳ Each report snapshots the thresholds active at that moment, so it stays immutable and defensible long after the visit
Thresholds and rules are configurable at global, location-category and location level: your expertise, encoded once, applied consistently everywhere.
AI still earns its place at the edges — spotting patterns, drafting, killing busywork. But the severity an auditor signs off on stays deterministic: transparent rules in, the same defensible record out.
Where’s the line for you — where does AI help, and where does it have no business being?
