A few vintage pieces I own in silver—ltd edition Snoopy, Gucci nail, Cartier touch wood keychain, silver ingot—that would be amazing to own in gold, but find too excessive to spend on. The silver pieces are just as fun to wear & fun to source (a flea market for most of them!). I’m glad I got into collecting over 2 decades ago, bc I’m finding current online prices eye-watering…

My sisters & I have a last name that most non-Chinese speakers pronounce as “luck” instead of the Cantonese pronunciation “look”. Because of this, we grew up with a lot of references to being lucky. My middle school math teacher would jokingly ask me “good luck or bad luck today?” whenever we passed each other in the hallways or in class, and my go-to response was always an emphatic “good luck!!”☘️ Pretty sure that’s why I’ve always been drawn to shamrocks & symbols of luck in jewellery throughout my collecting career. A mix of vintage, Victorian, Edwardian & Art Nouveau in this photo (swipe to see the two lockets). It’s hard to pick a fav, but I converted the little hexagon Essex crystal pendant/locket from a brooch & I think it’s just darling.

Functional gold✨ Vintage 14k nugget Swiss Army knife that I feel is very Troop Beverly Hills coded😂 I use pocket knives to open up watch backs when I’m checking for hallmarks & signatures on cases & movements on antique/vintage watches, so they come in handy, but do I really need an OTT solid gold version? Yes!

Collector of antique mechanical gold/silver fobs that turn into pencils🤓 Always delighted by the telescoping mechanism & craftsmanship as there are so many moving parts that still work to this day. A lot of these still have lead in them (twisting clockwise to propel the lead and counter clockwise to retract) & I feel very connected to history/humanity when I play with them. Humans came up with the design & manufactured these beautiful objects without the need for AI… Swipe to see close ups of the fobs transformed into pencils😍

Always strawberry season around here🍓🍓🍓 Lots of special pieces in this photo incl my custom 14K ruby & emerald CLFJ strawberry pendant on the left & the antique diamond coral strawberries brooch I sourced at a market in Vienna. The highlight is the antique Burmese ruby & diamond strawberries pendant converted from a brooch.
