Ayurvedic self-care routine: Morning bath In this Ayurvedic self-care routine series, today we are learning the benefits of taking a bath in the morning. Ayuveda experts claimed that bathing is a process that helps you heal through relaxation of muscles unclogging pores and restoring moisture to tissues, hot water flows on the body, generally permeating into the deepest layer of tissue.
Ayurveda is an ancient system of health and healing that originated in India. With the concept of a unique set of certain mental and physical traits in every human when they are born, these traits organize your life. Through three different doshas: Vata, Kapha and pitta, these three energy sources are rooted inside both our mind and body, representing our mental state, personality and characteristics. Well-managed doshas ratio could help maintain a complete balance of fulfilment of our body's intrinsic nature.
In Ayurvedic culture, bathing is considered a sacred and healing ritual, in terms of sprituality, you could get repaired and reborn. Many traditional ceremonies also involve the practice of bathing as a spritual purification step. For cleansing, Ayurvedic practices believed that bathing can cleanse the skin after the natural overnight detox and repair of the mind-body, and signal a fresh start to the day. To practice morning bathing, you need to wake up 45 minutes before your bath, as to prevent sudden change in body temperature after waking up.
