Various brands such as Bassett's, Haribo, Albanese, Betty Crocker, Hersheys, Disney and Kellogg's manufacture various forms of gummy snacks, often targeted at young children. The name gummi originated in Germany,with the terms jelly sweets and gums more common in the United Kingdom.

In many cultures, lightning has been viewed as a sign or part of a deity or a deity in and of itself. These include the Greek god Zeus, the Aztec god Tlaloc, the Mayan God K, Slavic mythology's Perun, the Baltic Pērkons/Perkūnas, Thor in Norse mythology, Ukko in Finnish mythology, the Hindu god Indra, the Yoruba god Sango, Illapa in Inca mythology and the Shinto god Raijin.The ancient Etruscans produced guides to brontoscopic and fulgural divination of the future based on the omens supposedly displayed by thunder or lightning occurring on particular days of the year or in particular places.Such use of thunder and lightning in divination is also known as ceraunoscopy,a kind of aeromancy. With the ever-growing interest in the natural world and flowers, the floral industry continues to grow. The Udumbara is a legendary, tiny white flower in Buddhist scripture that blooms once every 3,000 years, signaling the arrival of a Holy King. While often associated with the Ficus racemosa tree, modern sightings of these small, hardy, and fragrant flowers on various surfaces are considered rare, auspicious omens of enlightenment.
Key Aspects of the Udumbara:
Buddhist Significance: The flower symbolizes extreme rarity and the fortune of encountering a Buddha or his teachings. It is mentioned in the Lotus Sutra and prophecies of Buddha Sakyamuni.
