1. Choose a mantra that is meaningful to you and set your intentions
2. Find a quiet place and sit up tall. Close your eyes and slow your breath
3. Hold your mala in your right hand, between the thumb and the middle finger
4. Chant silently in your mind or say out loud while touching the mala bead. Use one bead for one chant of mantra
5. Pull the beads towards you to the next bead on the string and recite the following mantra
6. After you finish the 108 beads of the mala, you can stop or start another round
