St Kevin’s Blackbird.
Sterling silver pendant .
Birds have appealed to our imagination since the beginning of time , some of the earliest jewellery found depicts birds . This little handmade blackbird comes on an 16” - 18 “ adjustable sterling silver chain . Called after St .Kevin founder of Glendalough ,One of my favourite bird legends.
He was a hermit and lover of animals and birds .
While he was praying, a blackbird landed on his hand, built her nest and laid her egg, in an act of kindness he didn’t move until the baby bird had flown.
