💎 This is a question we get asked a lot.
💎 LAB DIAMOND verses NATURAL DIAMOND.
💎 SAME BEAUTY
💎 SAME BRILLIANCE
💎 YOUR CHOICE
🙋♀️ If you have any questions just ask, I will be happy to answer them.
At the chemical and physical level, there’s almost no difference. A lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond are both real diamonds: pure carbon arranged in the same crystal structure. They have the same hardness, sparkle, fire, and durability.
The differences are mainly about origin, price, rarity, and perception.
Visually, even professional jewellers often cannot tell them apart without specialized equipment. Both can be certified by gem labs like GIA or IGI.
A few things people don’t always realize:
* Lab diamonds are not “fake.” They are not cubic zirconia or moissanite.
* Natural diamonds are rare in geological origin, but the diamond market itself is heavily controlled, which affects pricing.
* If you care mainly about appearance and size for your budget, lab-grown is usually the better value.
* If you care about rarity, long-term symbolism, or tradition, natural may matter more to you.
A simple analogy:
* Natural diamond = wild-grown pearl or vintage wine.
* Lab-grown diamond = same material and quality, but produced through technology instead of nature and time.
*Please note, all answers are my own opinion this knowledge I have built up from being in the trade for 40 years.
