Today at 11.45am, I’ll be speaking at Threading Europe: Shared Heritage, Shared Hand at the RDS in Dublin.
I’ll be talking with Róisín de Buitlear Róisín de Buitléar about the importance of craft in Ireland — its history, its place in contemporary culture, and what it means to continue making by hand in a rapidly changing world. Working from the west of Ireland has given me a particular perspective on this: how place, tradition and individual practice can continue to inform and evolve Irish craft.
Thank you to Róisín Róisín de Buitléar, the RDS Dublin RDS and Sharon Greene for bringing makers and thinkers together for this important conversation.
