If you could put any gemstone into a special custom made piece of jewellery, what would it be?

There’s something special about hand-selecting gemstones — seeing them in person, studying their color, light, and character.

We’ve chosen some truly exceptional stones that will soon be showcased in a special display in our new consultation room. Each one was selected to spark inspiration — vibrant sapphires, luminous emeralds, fiery opals, ocean like aquamarines, brilliant diamonds, green amethysts, gorgeous tourmalines, marvellous morganite and stunningly cut citrines — all waiting to become part of a future heirloom.

We look forward to sharing them with you and help some people bring a vision to life.

For the day that’s in it we thought we’d share some more positive news from 2026 ❤️ Hugues lives abroad but has a huge connection to Connenara because of his grandfather. He wanted the ring he was giving to his partner to come from the place he has a huge gra for. That brought him to us and after a few online consultations we both felt this green amethyst and diamond gold ring would be what she’d like best. Hugues proposed to his partner at Acadia National Park, in Maine, in America and they are now both happily engaged. Love conquers all ❤️

As it’s Valentines Day I wanted to include an image of the girl that stole my heart the day I first held her in 2021 🦋 Hope you all had a lovely day with family or friends ❤️ Jonathan & Co

Darragh came to us early in 2025 to start the process in creating this custom engagement ring. He knew Tara’s favourite stone was emerald so we sourced a beautiful natural stone and had it cut into a pear shape to make it more unusual. Tara’s daughter is named Willow so that was the inspiration for the gold branches which formed the ring. A diamond was set within those branches to represent everyone in the family. We’re honoured to have been part of their story and wish them both a lifetime of happiness and good health ❤️

We had full permission to share this. We always respect the wishes of our customers when it comes to sharing our work.

Today’s Elf Adventure: A Sparkle in Clifden 💍✨

Today the elf stopped into ODalaigh Jewellers. The elf was sent straight to work in the workshop. From tapping tiny tools to polishing with perfect elf precision, the elf crafted a beautiful Claddagh ring💚💍

Boxed and placed neatly in an iconic O’Dalaigh bag…

But somewhere out there…someone doesn’t seem too impressed with all this Christmas cheer👀
