Three spirals on this new Gold Vermeil piece create a deconstructed triskele on the face of this domed ring, a symbol that dates back over 5,000 years to the remarkable carvings at Newgrange, predating even the Egyptian pyramids. While the original meaning of the triple spiral has been lost to time, many today interpret it as a symbol of progress, growth, spirituality, and union with the world. Make it a set! Matching earrings and pendant available.

With spirals that call to mind the 5000 year-old carvings at neolithic sites aligned with the solstice dawn, our newest triskele designs are a stylish way to celebrate the summer sun.  This Sterling Silver Newgrange Spiral Necklace is a subtle not to Ireland’s ancient past.

It’s Bloomsday, an event marked here in Ireland and around the world each June 16th, a celebration of the life and works of Irish writer James Joyce. The day takes its name not from some manner of flower but from the protagonist, Leopold Bloom, in Joyce’s 1922 classic Ulysses.

In Ireland, Bloomsday is no longer just one day, but a near week-long festival filled with readings and reenactments as well as food, tours, exhibitions, screenings and plenty of fancy dress! And celebration’s are not confined just to Ireland, Bloomsday is a global event with Joyce, Ulysses and Irish literature more broadly celebrated around the world each June. Those that don’t find themselves in Dublin, or folks not up to tackling the 265,000 word tome, could follow Bloom’s lead and take a stroll around your own home town and see what adventures await! Happy wandering!
