Instead of building a watch from scratch, I wanted to see how far I could transform the original.

A completely new custom dial was created, featuring a half-human, half-machine concept with deep laser engraving, raised metallic details and that small red cybernetic eye.

Then came the rest of the makeover - changing the overall character of the watch from a traditional brown leather piece into something much darker, more modern and completely unique.

Same watch.
Completely different identity.

This is one of my favorite things about custom watchmaking - sometimes you don’t need a new watch. You just need to reimagine the one you already have.

This dial has a personality of its own. 🦎

For this build I used a special color-shifting / chameleon paint that changes appearance depending on the light and viewing angle.

To make the effect work properly, I first applied a deep black base coat, then sprayed the color-shift layer over it. The black underneath gives the pigment the depth it needs to really come alive.

From one angle it looks deep blue… move it slightly, change the light, and an entirely different tone starts to appear.

Combined with the intricate textured pattern and the exposed polished metal details, the result is a dial that never looks exactly the same twice.

She sent me a watch she had created in ChatGPT.
My job was to turn it into reality.

The concept was created as a birthday gift for her partner - and from that single image, we built a completely custom mechanical watch.

At the heart of the build is a Seiko NH72 skeleton movement, surrounded by a custom skeleton dial and a unique Rexx Timepieces case designed to let the mechanics remain the star of the watch.

We finished it with a custom crown engraved with the Star of David, an exhibition caseback exposing the movement from the rear, and a textured black silicone strap.

Dark, mechanical, personal, and unlike anything sitting in a display case.

Sometimes a custom watch starts with a sketch.
This one started with an AI image and d we made it real.

This one came directly from a client's brief - a very specific dial design, produced in two different metal finishes.

Roman numerals on the outer track, a 24-hour scale inside, a textured guilloché-style center and fully raised, reverse-etched details throughout.

One finished in a cool silver tone.
The other exposing the warmer rose-gold metal beneath.

Same artwork. Same construction. Completely different character.

APOLLO 14 — BUILT AROUND A PIECE OF HISTORY 🚀

This custom dial was created for a client who acquired a genuine fragment connected to Apollo 14 and wanted to make it part of the watch itself.

The small opening at 6 o’clock was designed specifically to display that fragment.
But instead of simply attaching it to the front of the dial, we created a recessed socket on the back of the dial, shaped to hold the piece securely in place.

Once installed, the Apollo 14 fragment will sit behind the dial, becoming an integrated part of the construction while remaining visible through the window from the front.

The rest of the dial was handmade using our reverse etching process, leaving the Roman numerals, minute track and lettering in exposed brass against the dark recessed surface.

A SWEET NEW YEAR 🍯🐝

A custom watch created for Rosh Hashanah.

The dial was designed and crafted around one of the holiday’s most familiar symbols — honey — with a full honeycomb pattern, a small bee, exposed golden details and a deep black background.

Paired with a gold-tone case, burgundy leather strap and a Swiss STP1 automatic movement, the result is a piece that feels festive without losing its character as a proper mechanical watch.

A watch made for a milestone.

This custom diver-style build was created for Israel Granot’s 80th birthday, as a personal gift from his wife.

At the center of the watch is a custom-made blue dial, carrying his name in Hebrew and a subtle 80 marking the occasion.

Built around a classic Seamaster-inspired diver aesthetic, the watch combines a stainless-steel case and bracelet, blue ceramic-style bezel, bold hands and a completely personal dial made specifically for Israel.

A piece made for one person, for one moment.

A dial for a sweet new year. 🍯🐝

Created especially for Rosh Hashanah, this handmade brass dial takes inspiration from honey, bees and the geometry of the hive.

Deep black cells contrast against the exposed golden brass, with a single filled honeycomb cell and a tiny bee completing the design.

Simple idea.
