This project marked the beginning of our collaborative work, blending architecture and jewelry design into a statement about personal space and social norms.
In Tel Aviv, balconies are a common sight, blending indoor and outdoor spaces, serving both functional and social purposes. This project explores the balcony as a metaphor for boundaries—between private and public, visible and concealed—much like the way society perceives a woman’s cleavage.
Our piece, consisting of three brooches in the shape of typical Tel Aviv balconies, highlights the tension between exposure and protection. Positioned near the cleavage, these brooches invite attention while offering coverage, using materials like 3D-printed metal, plastic, and colorful ready-made elements.
