Her designing and manufacturing capability was put to good use by working as a freelancer for many renowned and respectable Jewellers and exporters of the industry. Apart from this, she has taught as an advanced designing instructor in JPDC for two years. Says Monica Kapur: “I have always dreamed of designing and providing my clients with jewellery that will have a multi-utility function. In other words I wanted to create a style of jewellery which when worn as a complete piece confers an opulent look and when re-arranged constitutes a simple yet sophisticated jewellery piece.”
After working as a freelancer for a lot many reputed organizations, Monica Kapur opened her own boutique in the year 2008 at Gold Souk Mall, Gurgaon. Keeping today’s woman in mind, her collection includes an exquisite assortment of earrings, necklaces, pendants, bangles, bracelets and rings. Each & every piece of her jewellery – gold, diamonds and gems are crafted using the highest quality standards and is seldom repeated. All her passion and labour bore fruit in 2000, when she became a finalist in India Vision 2000. In 2011 two of her designs were selected as finalists in the IJ awards, one in best necklace category and the other in best price point. She added a further feather in her cap when she showcased her exquisite collection at the prestigious IIJW-2011 and was recognized by the Jewellery Industry. She is also the Winner of the Prestigious IJ Jewellers Design Choice award 2012-for the best creation of a bracelet.
