In order to protect consumers and enhance their confidence in purchase of hallmarked gold jewellery with traceability and assurance of purity, the sale of gold jewellery and gold artefacts hallmarked without a six-digit alphanumeric Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) number will be prohibited in the country from April 1st, 2023.
