Me vs Me 🤩15 years apart

The sketch in the start is a necklace I designed during my NIFT days nearly 15 years ago.
Back then, every rendering took hours. Every correction meant starting all over again. Every portfolio sheet demanded patience more than creativity.
Today, I reopened the same concept and recreated it in Procreate.
Not because my old design was “wrong.”
But because I have become a better designer.
Digital tools didn’t replace my creativity. They removed the friction.
Instead of spending hours rendering, I spend that time asking better questions:
✨ Can this silhouette be lighter?
✨ What if the center flows differently?
✨ Would pearls balance the composition better?
✨ Can the proportions feel more luxurious?
That’s the real advantage of going digital.
It isn’t about making prettier renders.
It’s about creating more ideas, faster iterations, stronger portfolios, and better designers.
Looking back, my first portfolio now feels more like a record of where I started than a reflection of what I can do today.
