A piece of jewellery is often the starting point of a collection – much like a capsule wardrobe – evolving over time into a reflection of identity.
This exquisite diamond ring, from our Bespoke Diaries, is one such piece. Our client envisioned a ring that leaned toward geometry rather than traditional floral forms, while also offering the flexibility to be stacked with fine gold bands or other rings to be part of a collection.
With this in mind, we designed a distinctive statement ring in eighteen carat gold, set with two rows of pavé-set diamonds. Handcrafting it involved creating precise grids to hold each stone in place. The result is a composition of bold, striking geometry, softened by the delicate brilliance of the diamonds.

Our jewellery designs at Ahalya draw on many sources of inspiration, often rooted in the natural world. This pair of earrings in the spotlight today has a delightful floral form, with the precious stones and the structure of the metal creating a familiar and delicate shape.
The stud earrings are handcrafted in fine gold with a shimmering, high-polish finish. Six stunning keshi pearls form the core and five petals of the flower, inerspersed with delicate round brilliant diamonds. All the pearls and diamonds are placed in prong settings, held by claw-like tines that allow the stones to capture the light for an enhanced sparkle.

One of the many reasons we enjoy working closely with customers to develop unique, bespoke pieces of jewellery is the opportunity it offers for discovery. Both the process and the end result can be unexpected, enriching our understanding of the craft and subtly renewing our approach to it.
Today, we dip into our Bespoke Diaries to bring you The Kolam Ring, designed and handcrafted for a client who wanted a pair of earrings featuring her favourite stone, emeralds, without the traditional pairing of pearls or diamonds.
We kept things simple, creating something unusual and geometric that captured the beauty of the emeralds while allowing them to shine.
